What This Tool Does

This tool measures your network latency by sending timed requests to a remote server and calculating the response time.

Runs in Your Browser

This test runs directly in your browser — no downloads or installs required.

Quick Start

  • Click Start Ping Test.
  • Wait for all ping attempts to complete.
  • Review your min, max, and average latency.

How to Use This Tool

  • The tool sends 10 timed requests to measure latency.
  • You’ll see:
    • Minimum ping
    • Maximum ping
    • Average ping
    • Connection quality rating

What the Results Mean

  • Excellent (0–30 ms) — Great for gaming, streaming, and video calls.
  • Good (31–70 ms) — Normal for most connections.
  • Poor (71+ ms) — Noticeable lag; check WiFi or router.

Troubleshooting

  • High ping
    • Move closer to your router
    • Restart your modem/router
    • Disconnect unused devices
  • Ping spikes
    • Check for background downloads
    • Switch to Ethernet if possible
  • Test won’t run
    • Disable script‑blocking extensions
    • Try another browser

FAQ

Is this a real ICMP ping?
No — browsers cannot send ICMP packets, but this method closely simulates ping timing.

Why does my ping vary?
WiFi interference, congestion, and routing changes affect latency.

Can this detect ISP issues?
It can reveal symptoms like high latency or spikes.
