iPhone Bluetooth Greyed Out

⬅ Back

Your iPhone’s Bluetooth switch is greyed out and cannot be turned on. This usually indicates a system glitch, corrupted settings, or a hardware issue with the Bluetooth antenna.

1. Restart the iPhone

  • Hold Side button + Volume button → Slide to power off.
  • Turn it back on after 30 seconds.

2. Let the iPhone Cool Down

  • If the device is overheated, Bluetooth may disable itself.
  • Turn it off and let it cool for 10–15 minutes.

3. Reset Network Settings

4. Update iOS

  • Settings → General → Software Update.
  • Install any available updates.

5. Check for Physical Damage

  • Bluetooth greyed out after a drop or liquid exposure often indicates antenna damage.
  • Cases of impact damage commonly cause this symptom.

6. When to Seek Repair

If Bluetooth remains greyed out, the internal antenna or logic board may require inspection by a technician.
