iPhone Bluetooth Not Working

Your iPhone won’t connect to Bluetooth devices, keeps disconnecting, or can’t find nearby devices. These steps help fix common Bluetooth issues.

1. Toggle Bluetooth Off and On

  • Go to Settings → Bluetooth.
  • Turn it off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on.

2. Restart the iPhone

  • Hold Side button + Volume button → Slide to power off.
  • Turn it back on after 30 seconds.

3. Restart the Bluetooth Device

  • Turn the device off and back on.
  • Make sure it’s in pairing mode and not connected to another phone.

4. Forget the Device and Reconnect

  • Go to Settings → Bluetooth.
  • Tap the “i” next to the device → Forget This Device.
  • Pair it again from the list.

5. Move Closer

  • Stay within a few feet of the device.
  • Avoid walls, metal objects, and interference from other electronics.

6. Reset Network Settings

  • Go to Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset Network Settings.
  • This resets Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular settings (no data loss).

7. Update iOS

  • Go to Settings → General → Software Update.
  • Updates often fix Bluetooth bugs.

8. Test with Another Device

  • Try connecting to a different Bluetooth device.
  • If it works, the issue is with the original accessory.

9. When to Seek Repair

  • Bluetooth is greyed out in Settings.
  • iPhone cannot detect any Bluetooth devices.
  • Bluetooth stopped working after a drop or liquid exposure.

If Bluetooth still doesn’t work after these steps, the issue may be related to the antenna or Bluetooth chip. A technician can diagnose the exact cause.
