Your iPhone connects to Bluetooth devices but keeps disconnecting during calls, music, or general use. These steps help fix unstable Bluetooth connections.
1. Charge Both Devices
- Low battery on either device can cause random disconnects.
- Charge the iPhone and the Bluetooth accessory above 50%.
2. Stay Within 3–5 Feet
- Bluetooth disconnects easily through walls, pockets, or bags.
- Keep the iPhone close to the accessory.
3. Forget the Device and Re‑Pair
- Settings → Bluetooth → tap the “i” → Forget This Device.
- Pair it again from the list.
4. Turn Off Low Power Mode
- Settings → Battery → Low Power Mode → Off.
- Low Power Mode can reduce Bluetooth performance.
5. Restart the iPhone
- Hold Side button + Volume button → Slide to power off.
- Turn it back on after 30 seconds.
6. Reset Network Settings
- Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset Network Settings.
- This resets Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular settings (no data loss).
7. When to Seek Repair
- Bluetooth disconnects with every accessory you try.
- Disconnects started after a drop or liquid exposure.
- Bluetooth is unstable even after a full reset.
If disconnecting continues, the Bluetooth antenna or chip may need inspection by a technician.
