iPhone No Service

Your iPhone shows “No Service” or cannot connect to the cellular network. This can be caused by SIM issues, carrier problems, or software glitches. Try these steps to restore service.

1. Toggle Airplane Mode

  • Swipe down → enable Airplane Mode.
  • Wait 10 seconds → turn it off again.

2. Restart the iPhone

  • Hold Side button + Volume button → Slide to power off.
  • Turn it back on after 30 seconds.

3. Check SIM Card

  • Remove the SIM tray and reinsert it firmly.
  • Check for dust, damage, or a loose SIM.

4. Update Carrier Settings

  • Go to Settings → General → About.
  • If a carrier update appears, install it.

5. Reset Network Settings

6. Check for iOS Updates

  • Go to Settings → General → Software Update.
  • Updates often fix network bugs.

7. Test Another SIM Card

  • If another SIM works, your original SIM may be faulty.
  • Contact your carrier for a replacement.

8. When to Seek Repair

  • No Service even with a known‑working SIM.
  • Phone was recently dropped or exposed to moisture.
  • Baseband or antenna hardware may be damaged.

If the issue continues after these steps, the problem may be related to the SIM reader, antenna, or baseband chip. A technician can diagnose the exact cause.
